UPCET 2022 Overview

UPCET or Uttar Pradesh Combined Entrance Test is formerly known as UPSEE. UPCET is a state-level exam that is conducted for admission to the Top institutions in the state in various UG, PG courses in the field of Management, Engineering, Pharmacy etc. After qualifying for this exam candidates can take admission to various colleges that are affiliated with AKTU, MMMUT and also in the other universities of Uttar Pradesh.

This year UPCET exam is expected to be held in the 4th week of June 2022. Candidates who want to apply for the UPCET and are willing to admit to the top institution in the state can apply for this exam. The application form for the UPCET exam was released on the official website of UPCET in the first week of April. UPCET 2022 will be conducted by NTA- National Testing Agency for admission to Undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the universities or colleges affiliated to Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University Lucknow and Madan Mohan Malaviya Technical University famously known as MMMUT.

• If you want to appear for the UPCET 2022 you must have ¾ years of diploma certificate from a recognized institute or college with a minimum of 60% in aggregate marks (55% required for SC/ST candidates).   
• As per the UPCET 2022 Exam pattern, this year the exam will be conducted through online mode.
• The question papers of UPCET 2022 will consist of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). The duration for solving the paper will be different as per the courses that you will choose.     
• UPCET 2022 Syllabus will be also different for every PG and UG course.

UPCET 2022 Eligibility Criteria 

Eligibility criteria for any course are the key points without those you are not able to apply for the particular exam. To apply for UPCET 2022 you must meet the eligibility. UPCET eligibility criteria are released by the exam authority on its official website. This Eligibility criterion includes various parameters for different courses such as age, educational qualification, limit, domicile and nationality to apply for UPCET 2022. UPCET 2022 Age Limit  

For applying to Uttar Pradesh Combined Entrance Test 2022, there will be no age limit. You can apply for UPCET 2022 exam at any age but need to complete the other eligibility criterion.

UPCET 2022 Nationality

To apply for the UPCET 2022 candidates belong to the Indian nation, however, foreign nationals/ PIOs are also eligible to apply for UPCET 2022.

Domicile to apply for UPCET 2022

Although it is state level exam it is not a mandatory point for the candidates to have a domicile of the state of Uttar Pradesh for admissions based on UPCET.

However, the candidates who do not have a domicile certificate from Uttar Pradesh will only be eligible for admission to 20% of the total seats through UPCET 2022.  

Educational qualification:

Candidates must be passed 10+2 from a recognized board for admission to UG courses and for applying to PG courses you must have a graduation degree. 

Candidates who are in the final year of the qualifying exam or who are awaiting their results are also eligible to apply for UPCET 2022.

UPCET 2022 Eligibility Criteria for B.Arch

The exam authority will specify the eligibility criteria for the various courses through the official brochure that will be provided on the official website.  All the candidates who are applying to UPCET 2022 for B.Arch course admission must know the term of eligibility criteria. • It is essential that the candidates meet general UPCET 2022 eligibility criteria to be considered for the application process.     
• All the candidates who want to apply for the UPCET 2022 should have passed their 10+2 or equivalent examination from any recognized Board/Institute in the state of Uttar Pradesh or any other state in the country.       
• Candidates should also have passed 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry/Biology/ Technical Vocational Subject/ Computer Science/Engineering Drawing as compulsory subjects without grace and must have obtained at least 50% marks in aggregate.  
• Candidates who have a three-year course diploma in Architecture are also eligible to apply for the UPCET 2022 but they must have the diploma from a recognized state/Central Government and must have passed the diploma course without grace and secured an aggregate of at least 50%.             

UPCET Eligibility for B.Des (Bachelor of Design)

The eligibility criteria for the B.Des (Bachelor of Design) course for the year 2022 can be checked by the aspirants that are provided below.

• Candidates must have qualified for their Class 12 examination with a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate (40% marks required for the candidates who belong to the ST/SC category) with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry/ Biotechnology/Biology / Technical Vocational Subject as compulsory subjects from a recognized Board/University.    
• The candidates must be passed in the above-mentioned three subjects compulsorily without any grace for the same.    

UPCET Eligibility for B.Pharm (Bachelor of Pharmacy)

Candidates must meet the UPCET B.Pharm eligibility criteria to appear for the UPCET entrance exam. Below given are some of the basic eligibility criteria for the UPCET 2022 B.Pharm course.

• Candidates are required to pass their Class 12 or Intermediary examination or equivalent from a recognized University/Board with Chemistry, Physics, and Biology/ Biotechnology/ Mathematics/ Technical Vocational Subject as compulsory subjects.
• Candidates must be passed in each of the compulsory subjects without any grace and must be secured at least 45% marks in aggregate (40% required for SC/ST category students).

UPCET Eligibility for B.H.M.C.T.  (Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology)

Candidates must be aware of the UPCET BHMCT 2022 eligibility criteria before applying for the entrance examination.          

You must check the eligibility criteria that are mentioned below for the UPCET BHMCT 2022. Candidates must need to ensure that they meet the general UPSEE BHMCT eligibility criteria 2022 that is required for the application process.       

• Candidates must be passed Class 12 or intermediate or equivalent exams from any recognized Board/University in any discipline. They must have obtained an aggregate of 45% marks and 40% marks required for the ST/SC candidates in the exam.   
• There is no age limit for applying to UPCET BHMCT 2022.  
• Candidates who are Indian/NRI/FN/PIO and Kashmiri migrants are allowed to apply for the UPSEE BHMCT entrance exam.  

UPCET 2022 Eligibility for BFA (Bachelor of Fine Arts)

Aspirants who are seeking admission to BFA through UPCET must meet the below-mentioned eligibility criteria.

• All the candidates who wish to apply for UPCET BFA are required to meet the general UPSEE 2022 eligibility criteria.
• Candidates must have passed their Intermediary or 10+2 or Class 12 or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or university in any discipline without any grace.
• They must have obtained at least 45% marks in aggregate for the unreserved category and 40% required for the SC/ST candidates for the same.

UPCET 2022 Eligibility for MBA

Aspirants who are seeking admission to MBA through UPCET 2022 must meet the below-mentioned eligibility criteria.

• Candidates who are seeking admission through UPSEE MBA 2022 are required to possess a minimum of three years’ Undergraduate/Bachelor’s degree from any recognized university in India or its equivalent degree that is recognized by the Association of Indian Universities.
• The candidates should also have a minimum of 50% of marks in aggregate and 45% required for the SC/ST candidates in their undergraduate examination.

UPCET 2022 Eligibility for MCA

The aspirants who are willing to pursue the MCA from a top-notch institute in Uttar Pradesh have to meet the below-given eligibility criteria for appearing in the entrance exam. The eligibility terms for UPCET 2022 for the MCA are as follows:

• Candidates are required to pass their bachelor’s degree of a minimum of three years minimum duration from any recognized Indian University or the equivalent recognized by the Association of Indian Universities.
• In order to be eligible for UPCET MCA, the candidates must have the minimum aggregate marks of 50% (For unreserved) and 45% (for reserved categories such as SC/ST).
• Apart from the above, the candidate must have mathematics as a compulsory subject in Class 12th or graduation to be eligible for UPCET 2022 MCA.

Things to have in mind when you will fill out your application form for UPCET 2022

• It is mandatory for the candidates who wish to apply for the UPCET 2022 to mention their Aadhaar number in the application form.
• Candidates who wish to claim help under a reserved category or a sub-category should specify their category in the application form.
• Candidates should prefer to fill out their UPCET application form on Internet Explorer 7 or any browser and ensure that they should have high-speed internet that working on their PC or laptop.

Steps or stages to fill the UPCET 2022 Application form

The step-by-step process of filling out the UPCET 2022 application form consists of the below-given process.

Step 1: Registration

Registration for UPCET 2022 involves generating UPCET login credentials and filling out the UPCET 2022 Application form, paying of UPCET application fee, uploading documents, and final submission. The step-wise details for Registering for UPCET 2022 are given below. 

• First, you will need to visit the official UPCET website and click on the ‘New Registration’ tab.  
• In the second step you will need to enter the basic details- email, contact number, name, DOB, category, gender, etc., and submit the form.  
• The system will generate your UPCET 2022 Login ID and Password and will be sent on your email id. You must save it for all future correspondence.   

Step 2: Filling the application form

To access the application for UPCET 2022, you will need to click on the relevant application from the link that will be available on UPCET’s official website. On clicking the link, the system will redirect to new a window where you will get the application form.

• First you will need to fill in the personal details like your Date of Birth, Disability status, Father’s/ Mother’s Name, Category, Nationality, Place of birth, Permanent/ Current Address, and photo ID number. 
• Then fill in the exam Centre and Medium of the UPCET paper. You can choose the medium of the paper out of the 2 languages (English, Hindi). You also need to select the exam centre choices out of the given list.    
• You will need to enter your Academic Details such as your class 10th, 11th, and 12th details including the name of the Board in which you have completed your 10+2, school, marks/ grade, year of passing, etc.      
• You will need to choose the course for which you are applying to UPCET 2022.
• After filling in all the details, candidates need to choose a password that they need to remember till the admission process is over so we advise you to save the password and need to keep it in a safe place.

Step 3: Uploading the scanned signature and candidates’ photograph

In the next step to fill in the application form, you will need to upload the required documents. In order to upload the documents candidates need to upload the documents in JPG or JPEG format only as per the guidelines issued by NTA-National Testing Agency for Uploading Photo & Sign in UPCET Application Form and it is not mandatory to upload scanned photographs and signatures or paying the application fee at the same time. You are allowed to log in later by using the ID and Password which you will receive on your registered email id and can complete the process.  

• Passport size photograph in size 10-200kb with dimension 3.5” x 4.5” and format should be JPG or JPEG only. 
• Postcard size photograph in size 4-30kb with dimension 3.5” x 1.5” and the format should be in JPG only.

Note: we advise you to do not to upload unclear or blurred photographs of yours or do not leave any mandatory field in the application form blank.

Error or incomplete application forms will be rejected by the authority.

Step 4: Payment of the Application Fee for UPCET (UPSEE) 2022

When you will upload your scanned images of the photographs and signature, your next step will be to pay the required application fee. If a candidate doesn’t pay the application fee his/her UPCET application form 2022 will not be submitted. So, it is important to pay the application fee for submitting the Application form for UPCET 2022.   

For the fee Payment for UPCET 2022, you can pay online mode. You are permitted to pay the Application fee by using a Debit/Credit card or Internet Banking or UPI. When you will pay the application fee for UPCET 2022, you will get an SMS on your registered mobile number and also an email regarding the payment of the fee for the Uttar Pradesh Combined Entrance Test 2022.     You are also allowed to download your fee receipt and can take it for future reference.

When you will pay the application fee for the UPCET 2022, a transaction number will be generated that you will need to note for future reference. Also, a link will appear on the candidate’s screen that will be for ‘Download Confirmation Page’.

Candidates who are filling out the application form for UPCET 2022 need to download the confirmation page. Thereafter they should take two printouts of the page and hold it for future reference.”

• Then answer the security question that will be asked
• On answering the question correctly, you will receive a password reset link on your registered email ID

UPCET 2022 Counselling 

The candidates who will qualify for the Uttar Pradesh Combined Entrance Test that is previously known as UPSEE are eligible for the counselling process. Based on the ranks and the marks of the candidates, a merit list will be prepared for them. The candidates who will score higher marks would be placed higher on the merit list however those candidates who will score lower marks would hang at the bottom.
