JEECUP (Joint Entrance Examination Council Uttar Pradesh) is also familiar with the name UPJEE, which is a state-level entrance exam.
Joint Entrance Examination Council, Uttar Pradesh (JEECUP) or UPJEE was formed in the year 1986-87 with the sole reason or aim of admission in all the polytechnic institutions in the state of Uttar Pradesh by conducting Admission Tests at a state level. Â
JEECUP is conducted once a year for admission to the Diploma Courses such as Diploma in Engineering, Diploma in Pharmacy, and Technology. The exam is conducted by the Uttar Pradesh board of technical education (UPBTE). Qualified candidates with JEECUP will be eligible for admission to the top polytechnic institutions allied with the Uttar Pradesh Board of Technical Education. This is a 3-hour duration entrance exam and considers one of the most highly competitive entrance exams in the state of Uttar Pradesh. Â

- Joint Entrance Exam Council, Uttar Pradesh has started a form correction facility for the students.
- Candidates can do corrections to their application form within this period which is May 7 to May 12, 2022. Â
- Only those will be able to edit their application form who have successfully registered for the JEECUP Application form.
- JEECUP 2022 will be conducted by the Uttar Pradesh board of technical education and will be held from June 6 to June 9, 2022, for Group A, E1, and E2 and on June 10 for Group B, C, D, F, G, H, I, K, and on June 11 and 12 for Group L.
- The Last date to submit the JEECUP application form 2022 has been revised or extended from April 17 2022 to May 05 2022.

JEECUP Reservation Criteria for Students
As per the UP Government rules, the candidates who belong to reserve categories are eligible for a seat in JEECUP. These categories are:
1. Vertical Reservations:
Economically Weaker Section (EWS) of General Category – 10%
Other Backward Castes (OBC) if they belong to a Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) – 27%
Scheduled Castes (SC) – 21%
Scheduled Tribes (ST) – 2%
2. Horizontal Reservations:
Persons with Disability (PwD) (minimum 40% disability) – 5%
Freedom Fighter – 2%

JEECUP 2022 Counseling
JEECUP Counselling will be held after the declaration of the result by the Joint Entrance Exam Council, Uttar Pradesh. The counselling process will be completed from June 20 to August 15, 2022. The shortlisted candidates will be able to participate in JEECUP Counselling.
