CLAT 2022 or Common LAW Admission Test is conducted by the Consortium of National Law Universities. CLAT exam is known as one of the largest entrance exams for LAW courses. It is a National-Level exam which is conducted by the Consortium of National Law Universities in order to select the students for the UG-5-year integrated program i.e. LLB and PG-1-year program i.e. LLM.
CLAT exam is conducted for UG and PG courses. If you aim to pursue a Law program from the top-ranked institutes you will have to crack this exam. This exam is conducted for the admission to UG and PG Law program that is offered by the over 100 law institutions in which 22 participating Law Universities, 61 private colleges, and another participating institute.
The exam is conducted every year or once a year and the duration of the exam is 2 hours.
The question paper will consist of 150 objective types of questions from the subjects of English Language, and Current Affairs with General Knowledge, Logical Reasoning, Legal Reasoning, and Quantitative Techniques, while the postgraduate LLM Syllabus will consist of 120 questions from Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, Jurisprudence, Law of Contract, Criminal Law, Law of Torts Family Law, Property Law, Company Law, Public International Law, Environmental Law, Tax Law, Labour and Industrial Law.
This year CLAT 2022 exam is expected to be held on June 19, 2022, earlier it was about to be held on May 8, 2022. It is an Offline exam which is appeared by 50000+ students every year.

This year CLAT 2022 is expected to be held on 19 June 2022 and the Consortium of National Law University has reopened the facility for the candidates who have applied for CLAT 2022 to update their OBC category and reservation category for TNNLU Tiruchirapalli.
As per the notification released by the consortium of national law Universities candidates who have filled the application form for CLAT 2022 can check the application form and make the changes in their application form till 30th May 2022.
Candidates who have selected the All India Category as Other Backward Caste and uploaded the certificate for Other Backward Caste in Non-creamy layer, in spite of not selecting OBC Non-Creamy Layer as the category of reservation. These types of candidates are able to review their application form by logging in to their CLAT Account and can edit the Application form.
Apart from this, there has been a change in TNNLU (Tamil Nadu National Law University) Tiruchirapalli Seat Matrix with the introduction of the All India OBC Category for both UG and PG Programs. Candidates can also check the official website regarding the TNNLU Tiruchirappalli seat matrix. The official notification is available on the official website-consortiumofnlus.ac.in.

CLAT 2022 Eligibility Criteria
Consortium of National Law Universities also known as NLUs has released the official eligibility criterion for the CLAT exam for both the program.
Candidates who are going to apply for the same must check the complete eligibility criteria before applying and they must fulfil the eligibility prescribed by the exam authority. Eligibility criteria for CLAT comprise the education qualification, minimum or maximum age, minimum marks for applying etc.

The basic eligibility for CLAT 2022 is 12th for the UG program and Graduation for the PG program.
Course-wise CLAT Eligibility Criteria
For UG Course (LLB)
Age limit: There is no age limit has been prescribed for the CLAT UG aspirants.
Minimum Marks
For applying to CLAT 2022, Candidates must have 45% marks in aggregate. Candidates who belong to the reserved category such as SC/ST must have 40% marks in aggregate in order to apply for CLAT 2022. CLAT 2022 Registration
The NLU National Law Universities Consortium has released the notification to fill in the CLAT 2022. Candidates can fill in the application for CLAT 2022 by visiting the official website. As per the extended dates to complete the registration for CLAT 2022 candidates can fill in the application form till the 9th of May 2022. Application form for CLAT 2022 will be filled through completely online mode and candidates can fill it out through the official website. To register for the CLAT 2022, you will need a valid email Id and a valid phone and it also includes the to fill in the application form, payment of the fee, Documents upload, choice filing for the exam centre and many more.
Registration has been started on January 01, 2022, and you can apply for the CLAT 2022 9th of May 2022.
CLAT 2022 Application form
As we discussed earlier, CLAT registration has been started from January 2022 and you can be registered for this exam till 9th May 2022. CLAT exam Authority- National Law Universities (NLU) has opened the CLAT correction window till 30th May. This is useful for those candidates who selected their category OBC as a non-creamy layer and can update their application form.
When candidates were filling out their application form they had to choose their category, candidates who filled the OBC category but not in the non-creamy layer are now eligible to change it. Candidates can now modify their category and can select themselves in the non-creamy layer to get the reservation benefits of the OBC category. Besides, the TNNLU Tiruchirappalli seat matrix has been modified as well, therefore, candidates are also allowed to update their categories for the NLUs.
CLAT registration process includes the candidate’s registration, application form, payment of the fee and uploading of the documents. The application fee for the CLAT 2022 for the general category and OBC aspirants is INR 4000 which can be paid online along with the application form.
The fee for the CLAT 2022 varies for the different categories of aspirants. SC/ST category candidates have to pay INR 3500 as an application fee. If the candidates want to download the previous paper for preparation they will have to pay INR 500 to download it. However, many institutes claim that they have previous papers for the CLAT exam and they can provide it to their students.

Academic Qualifications

CLAT 2022- Exam Preference
In this section, candidates will have to select any three exam centres, in the order of exam centre preference. CLAT 2022 will be conducted in more than 80 cities across the country. How to update OBC (NON-creamy layer) in the CLAT Application form?
To update the application form for CLAT 2022, you will need to follow the below-mentioned steps.

The consortium of NLUs has released the exam pattern for CLAT 2022 on the official website. The exam pattern of any exam includes the details of the exam like exam mode, marking scheme, number of sections, number of questions, test duration etc. As per the exam pattern issued by the exam authority, there will be 150 questions under the graduate test and a total of 120 questions on the Post-graduation test.

Passage questions – The question paper of CLAT 2022, not including the Quantitative Techniques section, it will have passages of 300-400 words each and the questions will be asked from these passages.
Quantitative section – Instead of passages, in this section, there will have questions based on “short sets of facts or propositions, graphs, or pictorial, other textual, or diagrammatic representations of numerical information.”
Descriptive section – This year in 2022, there is no subjective/descriptive/and essay writing section in CLAT UG and in CLAT LLM also. This section has been dropped from the CLAT pattern.
Standard of questions – In the CLAT UG exam, there will be questions based on the 10+2 standard and in the CLAT PG exam questions will be of graduation standard.
Skills tested – The paper CLAT is organized to test the candidates on a number of parameters such as their ability to read, analytical thinking and think critically.
Total number of questions – CLAT UG will have 150 objective-type of questions, while CLAT LLM paper will have 120 questions.
Marking Scheme – In the CLAT paper 2022, each question will carry one mark, while for an incorrect answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted from your score.

CLAT 2022 Answer Key
The Answer key for CLAT 2022 will be released by the consortium of National Law universities on its official website. It can be released by the exam authority in the first week of July 2022. CLAT 2022 Counselling
The CLAT Counselling 2022 will be conducted in the month of July or August month after the announcement of the CLAT result 2022. The Consortium will start the counselling process for selecting the candidates for admission after publishing the merit lists for both UG and PG courses. The counselling process after CLAT 2022 starts with seat allotment and as per the preferences selected by candidates in their application form.
Candidates can upgrade and choose to accept their allotted seats. Once their choice of seat is allotted to them, then they can complete their admission process by paying the counselling and admission fee as required.
The counselling process will be conducted for at least three rounds until all the vacant seats at the participating NLUs (National Law Universities) are filled.

Steps to CLAT Counselling
Below given are the steps required to take at the time of CLAT Counselling 2022.
- Step 1: First, go to the official website and check the merit list of the shortlisted candidates for CLAT 2022 Counselling.
